Residential Garbage Collection

Residential garbage is collected on a regular schedule Monday through Thursday. The cost to residential customers is $16.00 monthly and is collected along with the customer’s monthly water bill. Each additional can will cost the customer $3.00.

 

Note: Senior Citizens age 65 & over whose only source of income is Social Security may come to city hall and fill out a form that will exempt them from paying for garbage.

 

 

Business Garbage Collection

Business garbage is collected on Fridays of each week. The cost to business customers is $19.00 monthly and each additional can will cost the customer $3.00.

 

 

Holiday Collection:

If your regular collection day falls on a holiday, your garbage will be collected on the next working day.

 

 

Special Trash Collection:

Collection of items such as appliances, furniture, and brush/limbs to residential customers is priced per ton with a minimum charge of $15.00. You may contact Guin City Hall at 205.468.2242 to find out how much per ton this service is.
