Do you have plans to r elocate your family or your business? If so, we'd like to encourage you to put Guin, Alabama at the top of your list of prospective sites!
As the mayor of Guin, Alabama, I will be the first to admit that I am prejudiced in favor of our city. However, if you will allow me to share some solid facts to back up my claims, I believe that you will understand our pride, and perhaps you, too will decide that Guin, Alabama is where you most want to be.
Of course, the first consideration is the Quality of Life we can offer:
 Country living with metropolitan areas nearby
 Extremely low crime rate;
 Excellent schools
 Convenient shopping
 Recreational facilities, including a fully operational Waterpark
Sports activities including hunting, fishing, & boating at nearby Smith Lake, as well as college sports next door in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. All this, plus varied community and religious opportunities, give the citizens of Guin an idyllic place to put down roots and raise a family.
Logistics is a consideration in any relocation event, so let me acquaint you with our geographical positioning: We are strategically located in Northwest Alabama just 45 minutes from Tupelo, MS, two hours from Birmingham, an hour from Muscle Shoals/Florence, and hour-and-a-half from Tuscaloosa, and two hours from Memphis, TN.
The new interstate highway 22, running from Birmingham to Memphis, abuts our community bringing additional commerce to the area, as well as linking us to the metropolitan areas. For industry purposes, we are convenient to railway, shipping, and trucking transport.
Those are the facts, but you must experience the charm of our city and the true Southern hospitality of our citizens firsthand to truly know why I say that Guin, Alabama offers everything required for a wonderful life.
We hope you enjoy your visit to our website. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or suggestions
