Guin's Unique Public and School Library
Our Library combines both a city and school library.
Our Librarians feel that the library has a huge impact on our school and community. The teachers, students, and public are fortunate to have a library of this size and capacity. We have many volumes of needed materials in our books and by the use of our computers.
Because we have a combined community and school library, we have more books and resources. The school benefits from the public library's books, while the public library benefits from the school's books. Access to computers and internet is another assett to the community and to the school as well.
People who do not have access to a computer at home may use the computers in the library at any time. Students not only come to the library to get information for assigned work, but also for pleasure. The library has a wide selection to fit everyone's interest level. We also keep books according to reading ability levels.
The library also hosts a free summer reading program for children. In this program they read and do special activities.
